Getting Married during a Pandemic

312.jpg

How do you throw a wedding in the middle of a pandemic? We still don’t know, even after giving it a try. We had a few guiding lights - not placing any of our friends and family at risk, including guests who couldn’t attend in person, celebrating our love in a way that felt personal and unique to us.

We didn’t want to have a placeholder wedding and remain in wedding planning limbo until the pandemic was ‘over.’ We wanted our pandemic wedding to be THE wedding.

On Instagram I’m going to take you through our wedding part by part - sometimes chronologically, sometimes thematically, to show how we made it work for us. I’ll add a few highlights to my website. I hope this reaches some brides who had to cancel or rethink their weddings, or some brides who are planning a wedding in the near future.

Our wedding looked nothing like what we had imagined, but in the end it was magical, personal, intimate, joyous, silly, fun… all the things we had hoped for our big day.
