Staying at home and cooking tomatoes.

This is a post about avoidance. What is there to avoid these days? Everything. Unprecedented wild fires blanketing our city in thick smoke. A once in a generation (hopefully) pandemic. We can’t go outside, we can’t bring anyone else inside. We are alone. So what do I do? I create projects for myself. I write a post about tomatoes. Since being stuck inside I’ve made salad, sauce, salsa, oven roasted tomatoes, 2 tomato pies, and tomato jam. Favorites: the jam is very very good, I just don’t know how to use it. The salsa was by far the hardest… so much teeny tiny chopping. The sauce and the jam were the easiest — just throw them in the pot. It has been a display of my inability to relax.
